It was a proud and memorable week across ÀóÖ¦ÊÓƵ as learners, citizens, customers, families, carers and staff came together to celebrate success at the 2026 Portland College Graduation Ceremony and the annual ÀóÖ¦ÊÓƵ Awards.
The Graduation Ceremony celebrated Portland College learners as they completed their educational journey, recognising their hard work, progress and personal growth as they prepare for the next stage of their education, employment and independent living.
The celebrations continued with the ÀóÖ¦ÊÓƵ Awards, which recognised the achievements of learners, citizens and customers from across the charity, including Portland College, ÀóÖ¦ÊÓƵ, Independent Living and more. Awards were presented across a range of categories, celebrating personal development, independence, employability, resilience, creativity and sporting achievement.
Portland was delighted to welcome Carrie Austin, founder of Wired Differently and a passionate advocate for neurodiversity and inclusion, as guest of honour. During the awards ceremony, Dr Mark Dale MBE, CEO of ÀóÖ¦ÊÓƵ, announced each award category and its finalists before Carrie Austin revealed the winners and presented them with their trophies.
The events were filled with pride, applause and celebration as graduates, nominees and award winners were recognised for their determination, commitment and achievements throughout the year.
